2008 Europe: 5 Countries in 5 Weeks

Our trip to Europe was for 5 weeks during autumn 2008 from September to October. We stayed in 5 countries starting with Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, and ending with France.

2007 Europe: Holland Netherlands, Germany & France

We arrived in Paris, France, in October 2007 on a flight with Zoom Airlines, which was no longer in business by 2008. Before our trip, we made arrangements to lease a car from a company in Montreal, Canada. The Peugeot leasing company was scheduled to meet us at the airport in a van and take us directly to our new leased Peugeot hatchback. From there, we would drive straight to our first bed-and-breakfast in Ede, Holland.

2006 Thailand Backpacking Trip

We arrived in Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight, where we were greeted by men and women dressed in authentic, colorful Thai silk uniforms. The new airport in Thailand had just been completed, making us one of the first groups of travelers to land that week. It is the largest airport in Asia, and we found the staff to be courteous and helpful.
